Yoga Instructor

In my classes you can expect to smile, sweat and turn inward towards your most authentic self. I am passionate about alignment while integrating what I call “smart sequencing”. Postures that lean on one another to support our musculoskeletal system. Poses that reflect the season, poses to help with certain injuries, turning off our sympathetic nervous system and tapping into our parasympathetic.

We live in a go go world, fueled by production and always doing more. This is not our natural way of living. I invite you to begin the journey home, to become curious about your body and slow down. I am fascinated by the seasons of life and the influence these stages have on our physical body, emotional body and spiritual body.

You can expect to feel supported while safely challenged and leave class feeling grounded and empowered in your body.

I completed my 200 Hour Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training in Costa Rica with Frog Lotus Yoga. A month of sleeping, eating and breathing yoga. I came back to Portland where I was living at the time and soon began teaching classes at my forever Yoga home, Yoga on Yamhill.

I have been teaching for nine years and have completed close to 800 hours of continued education. With a focus on Trauma Informed Yoga, the parallels of Chinese Medicine & Yoga, Chakra Meditations, Anatomy and Pre Natal Yoga.

Yoga has shifted my entire way of life, it might sound dramatic but it’s the truth. Yoga is a way of life, the way we talk to ourselves and others, how we respond to events out of our control and continuing to come back to breath over and over again.
