Jennifer Knight, ERYT 500, RPYT

Compelled by the calling to share yoga with her community, Jennifer turned her passion into a profession by opening the Yoga Tree of Boise in 2008. She believes that living with love, truth, and yoga one can overcome even the most challenging obstacles in life. Trained in an interdisciplinary Hatha yoga, Jennifer draws upon the balance of physical alignment, flexibility, strength, breath, and internal energy for each person to achieve whatever goal they may have. Jennifer has studied with several international teachers to form her style of teaching while influencing several of our local instructors as a teacher trainer for Shanti Yoga School. She facilitates master classes and workshops. “Come find your yoga!” is a motto Jennifer believes in and invites into her classes. Colbie Warne, ERYT 200 & RYT 500
Yoga Instructor and Massage Therapist
Colbie has been practicing the eight limbs of yoga all of her life. Most recently, has she come to a space in her life to teach others the benefits of yoga. Through free movement, compassion, and strength, Colbie invites you to come find your yoga. Being a registered yoga teacher in an interdisciplinary Hatha yoga, Colbie focuses on alignment, breath, and individual expression.
Bill Dial, RYT 500
Bill is originally from Texas and has lived in Boise now for 21 years. Bill’s experience in yoga has been intermittent for the past 30 years. He was both a runner and a weightlifter and used yoga for therapy, flexibility, and relaxation. Bill is a graduate of Shanti Yoga School’s 200 hour teacher training program and is a registered teacher with the Yoga Alliance. He is presently a student in Shanti’s 500 hour teacher’s training program. Bill’s training and practice is grounded in solid biomechanical principles and study of foundational yoga scriptures that follow the lineage of Krishnamacharya, T.K.V. Desikachar, Gary Kraftsow, and Erich Shiffmann. He has attended many workshops within the past year, including those taught by: Julian Marc Walker, Sara Ivanhoe, Jo Tastula, and Noah Maze. His personal practice and self study education includes Viniyoga for Wellness and Yin Yoga. Bill is an avid “spiritual seeker”. He incorporates and teaches the eight limbs of Patanjali’s “Yoga Sutras” and their practical application to our everyday lives within his practice of yoga. When Bill is not on his mat, he enjoys time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. Bill is also a practicing Landscape Architect in Boise.
Debbi Murphy, PhD, ERYT 500
Yoga Instructor and Director of Shanti Yoga School
Intrigued by the Mind-Body connection early in life, Debbi obtained a masters in psychology & doctorate in exercise science as well as pursuing the study of yoga with master teachers such as John Friend, Richard Freeman, Rodney Yee, Shiva Rea and Seane Corn but felt she had truly "come home" when she took her teacher training from Erich Schiffmann. Compelled to create a space dedicated to "finding peace within", Debbi & fellow yogi, Pam Blasco, built McCall's Shanti Yoga Studio & School in 2001. Through personal experience and from teaching for the past 40 years, Debbi believes this power not only changes the person, but allows the practitioner to impact the evolving, dynamic art & science of yoga. She feels her greatest influences are her students. Although she teaches a variety of styles of classes, all grounded in sound biomechanics and mind-body-spirit integration, her favorite style is vinyasa. Jodeen Revere , RYT 200
Yoga Instructor, Thai massage Therapist, Ecstatic Dance Facilitator, Actress
Jodeen was hooked from the moment she took her first yoga class 19 years ago in L.A. Her initial background as a student was in the Iyengar tradition and as her practice and love of yoga deepened she became more drawn to vinyasa and attended her first teacher training program with Shiva Rea. Over the years she has studied with Rodney Yee, Seane Corn, Micheline Berry, Max Strom, Julian Walker, Saul David Raye and Sarah Ivanhoe. She has been studying and teaching full time for 12 years and is now completing her YRT200 certification through the Shanti Yoga School.
Her teaching style is playful, alignment and breath focused and a sensory delight. She is also a
thai massage therapist, an actress and ecstatic dance facilitator. When she is not teaching yoga,
she is taking a yoga class or dancing wildly.
Liz Shreve, RYT 500
Liz Shreve came to practice yoga for health reasons at the age of 50 and became totally immersed, knowing almost immediately she wanted to teach yoga as well. The mental and physical benefits soon became obvious; within months of regular practice, Liz was able to decrease some prescription medications while quitting others altogether. Liz received her 200 hour certification Yoga Teacher Training at the Shanti Yoga School located in McCall, Idaho, which teaches an interdisciplinary approach to yoga. Liz has attended workshops under great teachers such as Debbi Murphy, Cathy Caccia, Hala Khouri, Micheline Berry, Sara Ivanhoe, and Julian Walker.
Kendra Womack, RYT 200
Kendra Womack is an Anusara-Inspired yoga teacher and an RYT200 with Yoga Alliance. Her main teacher is Christina Sell, founder of the Shravana School of Yoga. Kendra has been practicing yoga for over 13 years and has been teaching for almost 4. She believes that the practice of yoga provides a steady foundation to help students navigate the challenges of life, and to nurture the grace and beauty of their own hearts. Kendra gave birth to her son Jai Lennon in August 2011. Through the process of pregnancy, childbirth and motherhood, she realizes more than ever the power of yoga as part of prenatal, postnatal, and lifelong self care.
Mark Zimmerer, RYT 500
Yoga Instructor and Massage Therapist
With a history of work in art and theatre, Mark taught the occasional yoga class. On moving to Idaho in 2003, yoga and wellness became more of his career focus. Mark is a massage therapist, certifed through the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. As a yoga instructor, he helps students learn to listen to their bodies and their breath more closely. Mark teaches several different types of yoga, from vigorous ashtanga/vinyasa to beginning classes for the general population, to slow and gentle classes for seniors and students with special needs. Whoever he's teaching, his work is to observe them move through their range of motion and to help them find comfortable means of moving through that range of motion or to avoid certain movements when necessary, assisting them in becoming better observers of their own neurological habits.
Rachel Batten, RYT200
Yoga Instructor and Health Coach
Rachel is a registered yoga instructor, certified Pilates teacher, and a certified health coach with a special emphasis and passion working with senior citizens and anyone looking to introduce movement into their bodies in a peaceful and non-harming environment. Rachel teaches the chair yoga classes and will guide you with ease and at your level of healthy effort.
